Constitution Day

Constitution Day displays

To commemorate Constitution Day, the Birchwood School created a museum walk — decorating a hallway with historical art projects — so students can learn about the U.S. Constitution. Grades K-12 participated by sharing facts about the Constitution and hanging different flags to show the evolution of the official U.S. flag. Students in Christine Nolan’s class brought the Bill of Rights to life by using Pixton, a web-based comic creation platform, to explain the first 10 Amendments of the Constitution through visuals and narratives. Constitution Day, which is celebrated on September 17, recognizes the day in 1787 when delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the U.S. Constitution
